The Mountech Difference - Phone Mount Kits
Mountech has partnered with BuiltRight Industries, the industry leader in vehicle specific gear mounting, to offer the most functional, highest quality, best looking phone mounting solutions on the planet. The result is a mounting surface with OEM fit and finish paired with Mountech components built to outlast your vehicle. There's no better solution for your 2021 - 2023 F-150 or Raptor.
Spinlok™ Ball Mount System
Competitors attach ball mounts to 4-bolt and 2-bolt base plates using a single stud - prone to spinning itself loose. Mountech's innovative SpinLok™ system features a pair of locking pins that interface with our optional base plates or directly with Dash Mounts and eliminate that risk.
1" Ball and Socket Interface
Two ball sizes are standard for phone mounts - 1in (25mm) and 20mm. Smaller ball mounts are less expensive to produce but offer 27% less mechanical advantage, leading to reduced stability and capacity.
Innovative Arm Design
Until now, your options were to sacrifice range of motion with RAM Mounts or quality and ease-of-use with the cheap carbon fiber arms prone to glue failure. Mountech's billet aluminum arms with single adjustment point and additional relief cuts offer the best of both worlds.
FAQs
Installation requires removal of the dash tray and drilling four small holes. The detailed installation guide from BuiltRight Industries makes this an easy, low-risk process.
Our standard size mount will comfortably accommodate cell phones with a width of X.XX" and thickness of 0.55" including case. If you have any questions, just give us a call and we'll talk through things with you.
Mountech was created because of our experiences with all of these other solutions. Many of them are close but nothing feels just right. Whether it's a Dash Mount made of thin gauge steel or a Ball Mount made from injection molded rubber that's falling apart after a few weeks on a hot vehicle dash, there's room for improvement everywhere. We created Mountech to address these issues once and for all. These parts are quite expensive to manufacture and are not meant to be cheap - they're meant to be perfect.
Nope! We developed the 2-bolt and 4-bolt bases to offer more options for folks who aren't using one of the BuiltRight Dash Mounts. If you're starting with one of our Phone Mount Kits, you'll be just fine with the bare SpinLok™ Ball Mounts.
Yes, of course, with a couple of catches. Because most other Dash Mounts are made from thinner gauge steel, they aren't as rigid as the BuiltRight Mounts. That just means that to get the best performance from your mounts, you'll want to use one of our 2-bolt or 4-bolt bases.
Yes! We've worked with BuiltRight to create a series of installation and informational videos that will equip you with the knowledge and confidence to get the simple installation done on your own with no drama.
