MOUNTS
Ford changed the F-150 dash with every generation, which is why an F-150 phone mount is really four different parts. Add the Super Duty, the Ranger and the Bronco and you have a lineup where every truck has its own place to put a phone and its own way to hold it there.
Mountech builds a direct-fit dash mount for each one. The base bolts to the truck at factory hardware locations, carries a 1" (25.4mm) SpinLok ball, and takes any Mountech arm and holder. No suction cup on the glass, no adhesive pad peeling off a textured dash, no vent clip sagging under a big phone in a case. That is what separates a Ford phone holder built for the truck from one that happens to fit in it.
This guide covers which Ford phone mount fits your year, the narrow vs. wide tray question on 2024+ F-150s, where the mount lands in each truck, which holder to run, and what to do if you drive a Maverick, a Lightning or an older Super Duty. Already know your truck? Shop all Ford mounts or pick your vehicle.
Start with the year, not the badge. A 2018 F-150 phone mount and a 2025 F-150 phone mount are different parts, and the Super Duty borrows from the F-150 in some years and not others.

Fitment is the whole game. We would rather point you at a vacuum cup base that works than sell you a bracket that almost lines up.
Every kit below is the vehicle-specific base. Add the arm length and the holder that fit how you drive, or pick them on the product page.

The 2024 F-150 phone mount and Ford Raptor phone mount for the refreshed dash. Pick Narrow Tray for Platinum 702A, King Ranch, Tremor 402A and Raptor; Wide Tray for everything else.

Sits in the factory tray above the center screen. Pro adds a lower support plate. Read the ultimate F-150 phone mount guide.

One kit covers the 13th gen F-150 and the 2017-2021 Super Duty dash. Standard or Pro with support plate.

A real dash mount for the 12th gen truck instead of a cup holder gooseneck. One configuration, same 1" ball as everything else.

The Ford F-250 phone mount, F-350 phone mount and F-450 mount for the current Super Duty dash. Built for the 2023+ interior, not adapted from the F-150.

For the 12" SYNC 4 screen Ford added for 2022, standard on Lariat and above. If your 2022 Super Duty has it, this is the kit. If it has the smaller SYNC 3 screen, use the 2015-2020 F-150 kit.

The Ford Ranger phone mount: 12ga steel bracket, textured black powdercoat and AMPS slots. Our testers ran a phone, a radar detector and a dash cam on one bracket.

The Ford Bronco phone mount that swaps the plastic Accessory Ready bracket for powder-coated steel and reuses the factory screws. Read the Bronco dash mount explainer.

The heavy duty vacuum cup base pulls a real mechanical vacuum against glass or a smooth dash panel, rated to a 120 lb pull, and ends in the same 1" ball. Your arm and holder move to a direct-fit kit later.
In the F-150, the dash mount installs into the factory tray above the center display, which is where an F-150 cell phone mount belongs: beside the screen, not on it. The bracket is 12-gauge steel, laser cut, CNC formed and powder coated to sit close to the factory interior finish, with AMPS slots and enough room for more than one device.
In the Bronco, Ford built a mounting point into the passenger side of the dash and barely told anyone. The Accessory Ready bracket is a plastic tray with a 1/4-20 insert and T15 Torx screws. Our kit removes the plastic, puts a steel plate on the same screw points, and gives you a 1" ball where the flex used to be.
In the Ranger, the bracket is sized for the dash and slotted for AMPS, so a phone, a radar detector and a dash cam can share one rigid mounting point. The Super Duty gets its own part, sized to the year and the screen.
Every Ford kit ends in the same 1" ball, so an F-150 phone holder and a Bronco phone holder are the same part, and the choice is about how you drive, not which truck you own. The magnetic, MagSafe-compatible holder is the fastest one-handed option: the phone lands on the magnet and comes off in one motion. It works with MagSafe on iPhone 12 and newer, non-MagSafe phones use the included magnetic disc, and wireless charging is an option.
The standard spring-loaded cradle grips mechanically. It is the safer pick for a thick case, a phone with no magnet ring, or a truck that spends its days on washboard with a tool box in the bed.
An F150 MagSafe mount is the popular choice. The cradle is what we would run in a work truck.
Every Ford kit bolts to the truck rather than sticking to it, and the kits come with written and video install guides from BuiltRight Industries. The details differ by truck, so here is the honest version:
Above the base, the sequence is the same in every truck: SpinLok ball, billet aluminum socket arm, holder. Arms come in 1.5", 3" and 6" socket-to-socket lengths, and shorter is stiffer. Our arm length guide covers which one your dash needs, and installation guides and getting started with Mountech cover the rest.
Because every Mountech head shares the 1" ball, a second position costs an arm and a head rather than a whole new mount. Add the action camera / GoPro mount for trail footage out of a Bronco or Raptor, or a second holder for the passenger.
Pro kits give you a larger support plate with AMPS slots for exactly this. We do not make a tablet holder, but any 1" ball tablet holder you already own drops onto the same arm. Our iPad in a truck guide explains the setup.
The F-150 dash changed in 2009, 2015, 2021 and 2024, and the 2024 trucks split again into narrow and wide trays. Find your year in the table above, then confirm the trim notes on the product page.
Standard is plenty for one phone on a short arm. Pro adds a lower support plate for a stiffer mount; what it bolts to differs by truck, so check the kit page. Choose Pro for heavy duty use, a second device, or a 6" arm.
MagSafe if you want one-handed on and off, cradle if you run a thick case or no magnet ring. Then check where the charge cable lands; a set of cable clips on the arm keeps it off the screen and the buttons.
Match the kit to the generation: 2009-2014, 2015-2020, 2021-2023 and 2024-2025 are four different parts, so a 2014 F-150 phone mount, a 2021 F-150 phone mount and a 2023 F-150 phone mount are not interchangeable with a 2025 kit. The 2024-2025 kit also comes in Narrow Tray and Wide Tray versions. If you are between two years, the product page fitment notes are the final word, or ask us with your VIN.
The one built for your generation of truck. A direct-fit dash mount bolts into the factory tray above the center screen, keeps the phone beside the screen instead of on the glass or a vent, and holds on washboard because it is attached to the truck rather than stuck to it. Pair it with a 1.5" or 3" arm and the MagSafe holder for daily driving or the spring cradle for a work truck. That combination is the best F-150 phone mount we know how to build, and it carries the same lifetime warranty as everything else we make.
Narrow Tray fits the Platinum with the 702A High Equipment Group, every King Ranch, the Tremor with the 402A High Equipment Group, and the Raptor. Wide Tray fits all other 2024+ F-150 trims. Narrow tray trucks have no dip in the dash where wide tray trucks do; the comparison photo on the product page makes it obvious in seconds.
We do not list a Lightning-specific kit yet, and we are not going to guess at it. The Lightning entry in our vehicle selector points to the Ford collection for now. Contact us with your year and trim before ordering an F-150 kit for a Lightning.
Not yet. The honest answer today is the heavy duty vacuum cup base with a short arm and the holder of your choice. It pulls a real mechanical vacuum against glass or a smooth dash panel, and the arm and holder carry over if a direct-fit Maverick kit lands.
Standard is the dash mount on its own and handles the classic one-phone setup. Pro adds a lower support plate for a stiffer mount; on the F-150 it ties into the dash structure under the plastic tray, and on the Bronco it is a larger plate with room for a second device off the AMPS slots. Details differ by kit, so read the product page, and choose Pro for heavy duty use or a second device.
It depends on the truck. The Bronco kit reuses the factory Accessory Ready screw points with no drilling and no trim removal. The F-150 2021-2023 kit requires removing the dash tray and drilling four small holes, and the 2024-2025 kit drills a series of small holes in the tray the same way. Check the install notes on your kit's product page; the kits come with BuiltRight written and video guides.
A Ford F-250 phone mount, an F-350 phone mount and an F-450 mount are the same part in a given year. 2023-2026 trucks use the Super Duty 2023+ kit. A 2022 Super Duty with the 12" SYNC 4 screen (standard on Lariat and above) uses the 2022 SYNC 4 kit. 2017-2021 trucks, and 2022 XL and XLT trucks with the smaller SYNC 3 screen, use the F-150 2015-2020 kit, which is listed for both.
The Bronco Sport is a different vehicle with a different dash, so no. The kit is built for the 2021-2024 Bronco and replaces the factory Accessory Ready bracket; add the magnetic holder and it is the Bronco magnetic phone mount most owners run, or the cradle for trail days. For a Bronco Raptor phone mount or a 2025 truck, verify the current fitment notes on the product page before ordering.
No. The kit covers the 2019-2023 Ranger. The 2024+ truck has a new dash and we have not built a direct-fit part for it yet. Until then, the vacuum cup base runs the same arms and holders.
Yes, with one caveat: Mountech does not make a tablet holder, so an F-150 iPad mount is a Pro kit plus a 1" ball tablet holder of your own. The Pro kit gives you the AMPS slots and stiffness for a second device, and any 1" ball tablet holder drops onto a Mountech arm. Keep the arm short; a tablet on a 6" arm is a lever. Our tablet in a truck guide covers the setup.
The magnets in a MagSafe-compatible mount do not harm phone storage, batteries or screens. Phone storage is flash memory, not magnetic media; the only things to keep away are cards with magnetic stripes in a wallet case. On washboard, a MagSafe holder on a short arm holds fine for most drivers. If you run a heavy case or a battery pack, choose the spring-loaded cradle.
Yes. Mountech 1" SpinLok ball mounts and socket arms work with any mounting platform that also uses a 1" ball, so you can mix our bases, arms and heads with hardware you already have.
Phone mounts are legal in every U.S. state. What states regulate is placement and whether you touch the phone while driving, and most of the placement rules target the windshield, not the dash. That is one more reason a dash mount is the safe default. Our state-by-state guide has the detail.
All Mountech products are warrantied against manufacturing defects and material failures for the entire life of the product, limited to the original purchaser with proof of purchase. Normal wear and abuse are not covered. Contact us and we will take care of it.
